My son CPT Jamey C. Turner (left), 1-33, 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne
Division (Air Assault)
US Army, Ft. Campbell, KY. Jamey is a company commander and is currently
in Iraq on his second tour of duty.
Jamey graduated from Baker High School and Southeastern University in Hammond.
The Marine on the right is my nephew, 1SGT Jonathan Dyess. Jon is a member
of the Marine Reserves
in Dallas, Texas, where he serves on active duty working for the Reserves. Jon
was born in Baton Rouge,
though his parents moved back to Texas when Jon was just a few years old. Jon's
unit was deployed and
spent 7 months in Iraq in 2004-2005.
The picture was taken at Jamey's Change of Command ceremony in May 2005
