CPL Michael P Savoie - USMC
My hero is my son, CPL Michael P Savoie, of
Folsom, Louisiana. Michael is a machine gunner in the USMC. While
serving in Iraq with his first deployment, Michael was shot in the head during
an ambush attack in Haswah, Iraq on
October 4, 2004. On his 2nd deployment to Iraq, his humvee hit an IED, January
24, 2006, and he sustained 1st and 2nd
degree burns to his face. He is currently back at Camp LeJeune training for his
3rd deployment. I am proud to say that my son is a
United States Marine and is serving his country and all those who enjoy the
rights and privileges that it brings.
